Nurse by trade, adventurer by nature, I started this blog to share my experiences traveling learning with kids (a lot of them).

 My very patient husband and I have 5 children, and we have been homeschooling for over 20 years. After being a stay-at-home mom for many years, I went back to school and earned a Master's Degree in Nursing. Recently, I completed a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree. I am a psychiatric nurse turned professor and I adjunct at 3 colleges in my state. I love teaching but travel is what drives me. Nursing allows me to raise my family with the flexibility to roam the world in search of adventure. I derive great satisfaction from helping people develop their healing potential, but the adventure is the medicine for my soul. I couldn't have one without the other. I suppose this duality is the nature of a Gemini.
